2023 Brandt Scarf Blow Out Station Blow Out / Wash Out Station
The ID Scarf Blow Out/Wash Out Station is required to flush the scarf leftover inside the pipe from the ERW welding process. The overhead truss carts shoots water into the inside diameter, essentially moving the scarf into the chopper. The Scarf Blow Out/Wash out Station can be customized for customer requirements with size ranges form 2-3/8" to 16".
Features may include:
Index/Separating System- The indexing system allows for two pipes to be segregated on the in feed skids for pick up by the walking beam.
- The walking beam transfer system consists of multiple saddles for picking up the pipe from the infeed skids, picking up the pipe from the washout area, and picking up the pipe from the blow out area.
- The overhead truss system spans the full length of the machine. Running on this truss is a cart that has two nozzles that direct high pressure washout water, and two nozzles that are for blowing out the pipe when washout is complete.
- The scrap chopper is used to chop up the ID scarf inside the pipe in to 10"- 12" long pieces. It consists of a pinch roll system that grabs the scarf as it is washed out of the inside diameter of the pipe. The scarf is fed into a large rotor/anvil shear system with hardened steel blocks to chop the scarf into manageable pieces.
- A floor mounted operator station with touch screen interface allows the ID Scarf Blow Out/Wash Out station to be easily controlled by the operator. The touch screen will allow the operator to select from full automatic, semi-automatic, or manual operating modes.
