The PL5905 60' bulk-fill planter is available in 30" and 15" row spacings.

Ideal for large operations, the Great Plains PL5905 60' bulk-fill planter offers a new level of durability, reliability, and practical technology. With versatile 30" and 15" row spacings, the PL5905 excels at planting traditional crops like soybeans and corn, as well as alternative seeds such as hemp and canola.

The PL5905 features new 5005 Series row units with larger pivot bushings and a durable parallel arm system, Air-Pro® meters for optimal seed singulation, and IRC electric drive for variable-rate seeding and more. Advanced options like the AccuShot™ in-row fertilizer system and Ag Leader’s SureForce™ hydraulic downforce technology further enhance performance to help ensure seeds get off to the right start.

Features may include:

• The new 5005 Series row units feature 15", 4mm blades turning on triple-lip sealed bearings to ensure long life and accurate seed depth. Blades are offset to slice residue and form an ideal seed trench. Opener options include unit-mounted Turbo or fluted coulters, row cleaners, and seed firmers.

• User-defined dose of starter fertilizer in perfect proximity to the seed.

• Choose (l to r) tapered cast iron wheels for seeding into stale Delta seedbeds; 1.25"x13" wedge wheels that pinch the seed trench closed; 1"x12" double V closing wheels for all-around performance; or exclusive spider wheels with a drag chain, which are the most aggressive option for closing the trench.

• New parallel arms and opener body with larger bushings enhance durability and planter longevity. The new 05 Series row units are compatible with AccuShot in-row fertilizer application systems and Ag Leader’s SureForce™ hydraulic downforce technology.

• Maximize yield and minimize input costs using IRC electric drive. IRC capabilities include variable-rate seeding, section control, and turn compensation for consistent in-row seed spacing, even on tight turns.

• Equipped with two 82-bu. heavy-duty poly hoppers, the PL5905 holds up to 164 bushels of seed onboard for maximum productivity. A dual-fan air system provides advanced seed delivery for many types and sizes of seed.

• This dealer-installed, aftermarket hydraulic row unit downforce system automatically adjusts to changing planting conditions. Ag Leader’s InCommand monitor is required for SureForce-equipped units.

• Spoked design helps eliminate plugged gauge wheels and wasted cleanout time.

• The tongue retracts when unfolded to keep the planter close to the tractor for optimum maneuverability. Hitch options include cat 3/4 or hydraulic.
